Nico brought her passion for nail art from Hong Kong to Sheffield in 2023, where she now calls home with her husband and two cats. With six years of experience in the nail industry and a Level 4 Diploma in Nail Technology, Nico's journey began humbly in various nail salons in Hong Kong before she took the bold step of starting her own business. Inspiration can be found in the world around her - from ideas and emotions, to colours and textures - she transforms these into stunning, personalised designs on the nail canvas. She's also known as Offbeat Beauty Collective's chief biscuit taster and coffee connoisseur (her barista husband plays a part in that). When she's not perfecting nails, you'll find her on a mission to sample every local beer Sheffield has to offer!

Lucy founded Offbeat Beauty Collective after struggling to find a salon that felt inclusive, comfortable and that made natural nail health a priority. With a background in graphic design, she channels her creativity and obsessive eye for detail into bespoke nail art and structured gel manicures, using soft and hard gels.

In the studio, you'll find her with a coffee in hand, excited about new nail designs, and always happy to share cat pics and her latest film & tv series recommendations. Outside the studio, Lucy lives with her husband, Lee, and two cats, Loki & Luna, (there’s an ‘L’ theme here!) on an eco-home development on the edge of the city. She loves horror films, monster drag, walks in the woods, and trying to out-biscuit taste Nico.

As a chronically ill person and mum to a neurodivergent son (and awaiting her own AuDHD assessment), Lucy is passionate about making OBC an accessible, welcoming and safe space for everyone.

Sira is a passionate and creative makeup artist and beauty therapist, whose vibrant personality shines through in her work. She’s known for her bold gothic style and expertise in alternative beauty, and with a background as a professional freelance makeup and prosthetics artist, she has honed her skills on film sets and offers a wide range of services, including wedding makeup and hair, party and occasion makeup, makeup lessons, facials, brow lamination, lash lifts, and waxing.

Specialising in Alternative Wedding Makeup, Sira is dedicated to helping brides (and grooms!) feel like the most badass version of themselves, breaking away from traditional beauty norms to embrace individuality.

Outside of work, Sira is a self-confessed #altgirl and nerd with a deep love for horror movies and Doctor Who. She’s neurodivergent and lives with chronic illness and pain, giving her a unique empathy for how these challenges can impact on self-esteem. Sira understands that visiting a salon can sometimes feel overwhelming or anxiety-inducing, and she’s dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming & judgement-free space where everyone feels comfortable and supported.

Lucie, from Killamarsh, is a vibrant and compassionate addition to Offbeat Beauty Collective. With seven years of experience as a warehouse manager and forklift driver, she knows first-hand the challenges of maintaining nail health in tough, hands-on jobs. This background fuels her passion for creating a welcoming space where everyone can feel comfortable, no matter the state of their nails.

She’s deeply passionate about natural nail health and has a natural talent for working with clients who struggle with nail-biting or skin-picking, offering support and understanding without judgment.

Lucie’s ADHD makes her a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a welcoming, chatty (and often hilarious) appointment, and she’s brilliant at making anxious clients feel at home. Usually, she has the entire nail room in stitches! Outside of the salon, she’s a proud dog-mum to Boba, the chocolate Lab, and loves being out in the great outdoors… or she’ll be doing the polar opposite, and you’ll find her hunkered down at home for a gaming sesh!

Tiny in stature and proudly embracing her love for beige foods (autistic-approved, of course!), Lucie is also another member of the team navigating life with a chronic illness. She’s seamlessly become part of the Offbeat Beauty family, quickly endearing herself to the team and long-time clients alike.
